The Unity game engine produced from Unity Technologies was first made available in the year 2005. This was initially designed to be used exclusively to produce games for systems using Mac OS. However, over the years twenty-four additional platforms have been included, they are Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
