What happens on the first day of our hackathon?
Before starting the hackathon, talk with the customer about the applications (one of them) they’d like to test. We also go over the specifics of the design and the systems involved.
Each hackathon is different and takes a few days of meticulous preparation by us. Sometimes customers are also involved in the process by providing access to their systems that need to be integrated and resolving any connectivity problems. Once everything is in place, we give the client an API-led summary of the goals we’ve set to accomplish through the hackathon. It’s crucial to verify our knowledge and prepare for the big event.
The hackathon day consists of two components. We begin with an overview of API-driven connectivity and its advantages. We also give a demonstration-style introduction to MuleSoft’s MuleSoft Anypoint Integration Platform. The introduction helps team members taste the platform’s components and learn how they function.
Then, after lunch, the fun begins! The students, accompanied by our experts, will walk through a set of labs. Although the exercises are highly interactive, they don’t require any MuleSoft knowledge. Additionally, often they’re not tech experts. Business stakeholders play a significant role in developing and implementing an effective API strategy.
